Qualification & Education
Sylvia is a podiatrist who obtained a BSc Podiatry degree from the Univeristy on Seville, Spain. She has done an internship in Podiatric Surgery in the Podiatry Clinical Area of the University of Seville with a duration of one year. She has experience and a completed course in diagnosing foot pathologies through ultrasound imaging.
She has also had the opportunity to work with different podiatrists in Spain, learning from their experience in their private clinics and is currently obtaining a Master's degree in New Care Trends in Health Sciences in the University of Seville.
Experience
Sylvia has had interest in podiatry since the first time she sat in the chair of a podiatrist as a patient. She became fascinated with the profession, but more specifically with the concept of treating a very specific part of the anatomy, since it is an area of the body that tends to be forgotten.
She takes special interest in biomechanics. Through assessment of the lower limb, a podiatrist can help prevent and treat many abnormalities, not only in the feet, but the knees and back too.
Interests
Studying this profession has helped her grow as a person and helped her realize that she wants to help people and that she enjoys it. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to improve a person’s quality of life.
